Chance of getting HCV from a virgin

Dear Dr,

I have an issue troubling me very much and I hope to have it clarified. I have been recently married and I had sex with my virgin wife on our first night. She has been diagnosed now with HCV. The blood from hymen rupture got in contact with my privates and on my hands aswell. I have a perfectly healthy skin down there and there is no scar, cracks or wound.
So just to clear my mind, please tell me that I am clear of infection or not, or what do I need to do to check or when should I check for any symptoms of having an HCV.
Thanks and best regards.

That right there is your answer as it takes blood to blood, condoms is not recommended for married people because the risk is so low. Almost zero chance........ Congrats and hope you have along happy marriage.

No one can answer that question. Have your wife do a PCR test to confirm she does have an active virus. She may be one of the lucky 20% that fight off the disease and have just antibodies rest of their life.

Hep C is curable. There are current drugs that work 70-80% of the time. New drugs in the pipeline.

Best of luck

Thank you for your feedback, if you can also let me know about the severity of the infection in my wife. The signal to cut-off ratio was 10.11
Is that recoverable? Or how long can it take to recover given good circumstances.
