hep c borderline positive

hepatits c antibody borderline positive, value= 1.93
Cut off-2
Result came today.
Mode-needle stick injury from patient.
blood given for PCR.Result awaited.
I am EXTREMELY TENSED.what are the chances of PCR to be negative?have had sex with my gf many times.will she be infected also?

There is a second test, called a RIBA that is more definitive for antibodies in cases like yours.  I think your PCR has a good chance of coming back negative, no viral RNA found, but you'll just have to wait for it to come back.  No RNA found would mean that you do not have the virus.  Sexual transmission is pretty uncommon.
