through but your experieence will probably be different.
if you give 400 people interferon you will get 400 completely different results
You don't really say what exact pain you have been having - Meki is right not everything is from the treatment so please see a doctor! The fever is normal and you can take tylenol for that one but if it's something that excrutiating you need to be seen by a doctor immediately.
Pain shooting down your back and legs and stuff could be anything - I've never heard or that pain typically with the treatment though. Please see someone if you aren't feeling better.
I agree - though the tx causes pain and fevers- talk to your Dr. I have been one of those pain in the but patients- I call every time I eave new problems- that is what they get paid for. I have had to up my pain medication ALOT since I started tx. I have so much pain every day I can hardly get out of bed I can barly even cary my baby around any more. My Dr. told me to do the shot at night and take 2 tylenol and a pain pill before I do the shotand go to bed, though I awke up a few times with chills and pain I think it is getting better as I get through more weeks.
I agree you should discuss your symptoms with your doctor. I did have stronger side effects from tx the first couple of times. I took 2 extra strength tylenol about an hour before taking the shot. This seemed to help a little. Hopefully your body will start to adjust to the medication and your side effects will lesson. Mary Ellen
If you're in incredible pain - please see a doctor.
Not every symptom is a sign of the Treatment...
You need to remember your body is working overtime on this stuff - so if you're feeling pains that feel like a heart attack - don't think "treatment"...
Think -- this COULD be treatment ---- or it COULD be something else.
OK?
Hugs,
Meki
Many others and me had the exact same response to the first shot.
My first shot was the worst of them all. They got better each shot and by Sunday most of it was over with. I treated for 24 weeks and made it a point to lie up and rest up all weekends.
This worked for me. Good Luck.
i have terrible night on shot night ...its horrible the flu like symptoms is what reallly kills me and sometimes i get delirious...the pain last for me about 1 day
