should I stop testing

I posted earlier about some blood tests I had done 4 hep b and c which were as follows: 3 normal liver enz. tests 2 anti hcv tests both negative hbsag 3x all negative, hb cor-tot neg 2x, hbsab pos 2x which doc said means immunity and 1 hcv rna pcr qual-negative. These tests were all done about 1yr after exposure and spaced out.  People on the board said 2 get tested again 2 b sure. Well here are the results hbv dna negative and hcv rna pcr quan I think this time negative.  I know u r not doctors but do u guys think I should stop testing and move on 2 something else?  Or is the a better test/more accurate that I am missing?

Sounds to me like you have had plenty of testing, I'd stop testing for hep b and c. Have you seen a liver specialist or a gastro? It seems that doctor would look into other possibilities.

Yes the last doc who ordered the hbv dna and hcv rna pcr quan was a gastro who specialized in hepatitis.  He said the hcv test was the best one they got and since my hbsag was negative 3x I couldn't have chronic hep b. I am on nexium for gastritis and heartburn he thinks it is related to that.
