High SGPT and SGOT

I am Vivek Roy, a 16 year old boy. I have a SGPT of 172.0 and SGOT of 76.0. Why do I have such high levels of SGPT and SGOT??? I do not consume alcohol (as a matter of fact I never have) neither do I smoke. I don't either drink much of aerated soft drinks. But I consume a lot of spicy and fatty food. The ultrasonography of upper abdomen gave nothing, all reports were normal. Also are the following other results:
Amylase:                          53.0
Lipase                              19.0
Alkaline Phosphatase:       138
Gamma Glutamyl:             93.0
Albumin:Globulin               1.46:1

PLEASE HELP AND TELL ME WHETHER IT IS DANGEROUS OR NOT

test for all forms of hepatitis, you could have one, or even autoimmune hepatitis which can be brought on by our own imune system, and sometimes be brought on by crugs or even certain herbs and spices. You must ascertain if you have a Hep virus, or another condition.
On condition known as NASH is caused by high fat diets. This can also lead to liver injury and high liver enymes.
The only way to tell what is making your numbers so high is to get the testing done.
172 is too high and I'd want test right away to see what I've got, if I were you.

"But I consume a lot of spicy and fatty food."

I'm not aware that spicy will cause you problems but fatty easily can.  It is not only in the type of food, but in the quantity.  I don't think that all people process fats the same and so there could also be genetic predispositions as a co-factor

I don't know about otherdiseases but I would rather think that they might have had you checked for antibodies for hep A, B or C.  The fact I am asking doesn't mean that I think you have any of them but rather to merely rule out possibilty.

As far as danger..... it is not good to have such relatively high readings.  If it is a diet issue and it is not addressed you very well could have trouble in the future.  That likely means in years; not weeks or days, so try not to worry excessively.

Perhaps someone else can shed more light on it for you.

best,
willy
