Risk from nail scissors

Hi everyone! I'm sorry if this is a silly question. I was on holiday ten days ago, and  lent my friend my nail clippers (I can't remember for sure). I don't know if she has Hep C, no known risk factors besides she visits salons (not sure that counts). Tonight (ten days later) I cut myself on those clippers. In the unlikely event she had Hep C, and cut herself, would the blood/ Hep C on those clippers be dry and dead by now? Most sites say it can only last up to 4 days, but some say longer. Thanks for your help. Just had a negative Hep C screen last week, so would like to put the worry to rest if I can. Cheers!

Hi Lucy.  This is a no risk profile.
If your friend did indeed have Hep C, the virus would not remain vital 10 days post.  Contrary to what most people think, Hep C is a difficult virus to get.
No Worries
