Safe strong pain med?

I have hep C bad, fibromyalgia, plantar fasciitis, degenerated discs, and stage 3 cirrhosis. Doctor had me on 3200mg. Ibuprofin per day for pain for 2 years, then had stomach problems and tested for cirrhosis. Yippee! Meanwhile, tylenol and ibuprofin don't touch my pain and have been advised to keep it to bare minimum. Is there a safe hydro w/ less tylenol or something similarly effective that I can take on a daily basis (in morning is when pain is worse), can deal with once or twice a day; some days maybe none at all. But, catch 22, have to get in shape, pain prevents me from doing too much walking/exercising. Need something to mask pain so I can get exercise. I have changed diet, I juice carrot, cabbage, spinach, celery, & apple every day and cut the **** foods. Help me! My doctor is paranoid now, mayhaps I should get a new doctor with more of a clue?

They do make hydrocodone pills WITHOUT the tylenol or the ibuprofen.

I took percocet when I needed to during treatment but NOT on a regular basis like 2 every 4 to 6 hours for pain..........just too much meds for the liver to process I think.

There a few non-narcotic pain relivers, One is (Naproxen 500mg) the other is (Tramadol hcl 50mg) these are not as hard on the liver or stomach lining. I take two naproxen, two tramadol in morning and night for pain in joints and body. seems to works for me. with out the edge, hangover, dizzyness, and withdrawals of narcotics. narcotic are hard on the liver, kidneys, stomach and mind.

Hope this helps, reliefnow

Norco is a hydrocodone and tylonol mix with less tylonol. I skipped the tylonol all together and take oxycodone and avinza. alot of people are ok with Lyrica which is non-narcotic.I recommend finding a pain managment specialist  because they are familiar with the needs of those with cronic pain and can prescribe pain relievers in a sensible manner. aka giddyup

I would think you might want to look for a new doctor that is more on his game. Ibuprofin  is not that good on the liver ,from what I know and that's not much hydro or ocy codone is pretty easy on the liver some docs don't like to perscribe it because of it being a adictive narcotic but that should be fine for someone that would beifit from it. So what if you become additcted to something that makes you feel better and is less harmful. Some docs are understanding and some are not
