Taking Meds at Wrong Time

So I'm cruising along thinking I'm doing fine and tonight I get confused and take my incivek when I should have taken my ribavirin.  This means that I took my incivek 5 hours after my last dose and 3 hours too soon.  I have been so exact in taking these pills exactly 8 hours apart.  My questions are ...... do I need to worry (which I am....frankly I am freaking) and do I simply adjust my dosing time to accomodate my screw up?  I am so upset!

How about calling the 1-800 number of the drug company?  They sometimes have nurses on call 24/7 just for times like this.  Maybe check their website?
Just a thought,

Good goin!!!  I'm glad you found out and that now you can rest and feel better!  I let out a big sigh of relief for you!  It could just as easily been me!  I bought a second alarm clock today.  I turned mine off this morning and THOUGHT I had gotten up and eaten and taken my medicines.  Thank GOODNESS I woke up just 30 minutes later.  No harm done, but it sure shook me up!
Hang in there and good luck,
Liz

I just did exactly what you suggested.  You are brilliant.  Thankfully the nurse told me not to worry.  I might experience a little more of the side effects, such as nausea and diarrhea but I might not notice it at all.  She also said that I could remain on my regular schedule and that I will be fine.

Thanks so much everyone for your help.  I feel much better.

Now see you are getting 2 different answers, but now that I'm thinking of it, sticking to your schedule is probably the best thing to do.  am I driving you crazy yet?

I would call my doctor, or it seems you  could take the next dose 8 hrs after.  dont worry I forgot to take my pills, put them in my pocket and forgot, then I screwed up my shots a couple of times.  I think if you take the next dose 8 hours and stick with that you are OK.  I a just guessing though.  Do find a way to keep it all straight though.....
good luck,
Mary

I would stick to my schedule and not change the times.  Do you have a cellphone where you can setup reminder alarms throughout the day with the type of medicine that you need to take?
