The dreaded anal/rectal issues

They have reared their ugly head... Any suggestions?? We are giving him plenty of fat at pill time... I'm thinking he needs to do it 30 mins prior but dr said within 30 mins. There seems to be blood internally, I'm thinking hemmoroids and he's pushing hard stool... Sorry so detailed, but need help!!!

Hi I'm just starting to have this problem myself . I use tucks hemorrhoid wipes , this really helps to take away itching and keeps the area clean. I make sure I eat my fat 1/2 hr before and drink lots of water. I'm new to this but I'm learning and burning at the same time .
Hang in there it will get better

Good Luck

Also, get that water into him. At least 4 litres a day. Sounds like a lot, but it is needed to rehydrate the body, as these meds dry you out. Water also helps to flush the meds through your system, especially the Incivek, as it moves very quickly through the body.

Firstly, get some Proctosedyl ointment. Soothes the anus and controls the itch. Helps you to push haemheroids (?) back in as well.. You need to keep that area very clean, so some name brand (generic are useless) baby wipes with aloe vera.
If stools are sloppy, and that can really burn, then take Loperamide to help firm them up. If stools are very hard, then you will need to take something to soften them slightly. Too hard, spitting glass, too soft and it's rrazorblades.

20 gms of fat, or more, needs to be taken 20 minutes to 30 minutes before Incivek, preferably around 20 minutes.

Good luck, and keep in touch.

and they are ugly!!!!!    are you having burning and or itching, along with your hemmoroids?   hemoroids are usually characterised by bright red blood.  the burning and itching can be helped somewhat by keeping your stool solid.  diarhea or loose stools will cause severe burning.  cleaning the area asap will stop the pain.  its the residue left from the bm.  BABY WIPES!!!!!!.
