Thinking about this Vertex and JJ deal for VX-950
The fact that JJ is going to put upfront 160 million has me believing that either Vertex is the supersalesman of the world or JJ knows something. Thats a lot of dough for something that is suppose to be a unknown. I think they know.

I guess you made a very good point, there really IS a closeness.Where else can you talk about hair loss, boogers, gas, complain, rage, cry,......and still feel okay to come back.

I agreen JJ has to know something. Why else would they shell out so much money. They are thinking that it will pay them back big bucks (I hope its not to expensive) with all of those that have HCV.

Hey, my next PCR is July 27, if I am undetectible, then I go 36 more weeks, if there is even one little viral Bast@rd hanging around, I am quitting, then I qualify for the vertex nonresponder trials.... we might be in the same cohort......
Ha Ha Ha, well, you guys make me feel a bit better about being a lab rat if they do go for me...though I know Jimbo wants me to wait till the next trial once they have more data...can't say I don't see his reasoning...

I agree completely. No one is going to put up that kind of
money without having done due diligence and otherwise varifing that the drug will do what they say it will. I think its a very positive sign for all of us that headway is being made.

i have had that feeling all along. i never could believe hundreds of researchers and investers had this big conspirousy going to make a buck on peoples lives.
there are two other major drug companies getting close and i believe 2-3 years and the next generation of heppers will have it made. my dr. justs laughs when i ask and says don't worry,it will happen.
i just read an article stating 10 years ago svr was 10% and 6 YEARS it WAS 50%. the stats on vx950 make it look like the magic bullet and apparantly the fda does also. i am just off tx and waiting for 6 mo pcr but if it is not svr i will wait as i have real hope.
VTRX going from $9 to $44 at one point is a good sign. thank GOD for the "BIG DRUG COMPANIES".

Yea, My doctor said that whatver it will be, there are bound to be better tx in the next 5 years. This is great new for my stock. I can't wait to see what happens tommorow with my shares on TDAmerica.com (-gulp-)
