Questions about Hepatitis C

I have a few questions if anyone can help.
I was tested at 4 months for the hepatitis a,b & c. All my lab were non-reactive. After reading more information online, it states that a person has to wait 6 months before the virus to show up.
Do I need to be re-tested to make my 6 month mark or can I move on.
Please help, and thank you for your time

Thank you so much. I called that STD hotline, they explained that 4 months is more than enough time and that I can move on.

How soon after exposure to HCV can anti-HCV be detected?

HCV infection can be detected by anti-HCV screening tests (enzyme immunoassay) 4–10 weeks after infection. Anti-HCV can be detected in >97% of persons by 6 months after exposure.

At 4 months post exposure you are probably good to go but the CDC says 6 months post exposure to be conclusive

I'm sorry, I was tested 4 months after exposure for STD'S & the Hepatitis panel. All my lab were non-reactive. After reading more information online, it states that a person has to wait 6 months before Hepatitis C virus to show up.

My question is,

Q: How long after you are exposed to the hepatitis C virus should you be tested?

Answer: If you are exposed to HCV, have a baseline blood test done immediately. Second, get retested after 6 months. It can take up to 6 months before antibodies appear.

To put your mind at ease...get tested again after 6 months.

See Hepatitis.va.gov "Getting Tested".  It gives dates of testing for exposure.

Not sure about Hepatitis A, B but  Antibodies (anti-HCV) can be detected in a person's blood, on average, eight to nine weeks after exposure (symptoms or not); but may take as long as six months after exposure to be detectable.

Do you mean you tested 4 months after possible exposure? If you assume 4 weeks are in a month then that is about 16 weeks.
