Tx during traveling

I am supposed to start tx during June this year. I am Stage 2-3, Grade: 2-3 after a biopsy I did just recently. I am planning to continue with everything as usual (as far as I will see that I can) except that I will try to inject during weekend and  plan the day after weekend as a very easy one. One of my problems is that I have to travel abroad as a part of my job from time to time. My question is how should I manage the trips with that therapy, How do I pass the flight security check with the meds, how do I keep the right temperature for the meds, Is there any specific equipment that can help me with that ? (isolated case, or something like that). Every advise will be appreciated.

da dada....is the instruments in "I feel good." In between the 2 lines Feel good to "like I knew i would.

Static yes its there. Just when noise induced or upset. I do get nervous about it. I am going to ask the NP if she can order an MRI, but I think alot of times you have to be in pain or something. But on Dr. Rens site it does say hep can cause deafness. I know the tx can, but if I read his site correctly ( I doubt my brain so much since tx, so I'm not sure) having the virus itself can cause deafness. Thats the first I saw that. But I know that I know my ear problem is related to hep somehow.

MS? Mikesimon? Nah, why would he be mad? He only gets mad at me, trust me. Ask him, but IMO I don't think he's mad at you. I don't think you gave him any reason to be unless I missed something.

I feel good--like I new that I would now
I feel nice--like a sugar and spice
So good, So good........(loud scream)
I do feel good today and my brain is functioning at  approx. 75% so that's good news too. I worked in the yard for about 20 minutes, talked to a dear friend on the phone for a long time, and whittled down my stack of mail that's 6 months old.Whew! I'm a working machine today.
Mike Simon I miss you and am glad you feel good today.

I think I have some news you would consider Good News from tx.    6 months ago I had my mammogram and they found a mass.  Was my first mamogram, so nothing to compare to, so made me wait 6 mos to come back and redo it.  Well have been on treatment for for almost 5, and now the mass is gone.  Totally disolved...   Did the medications do it ?  could be..    Rash is also under control now too..

Going thru tx affects people in many different ways.  It's the treatment is what has become my hell.  It's sx.  My husbands going crazy.  I and others have our good days and bad.  Please, It's no big deal.
I miss understood and there is a lot of crappy things being said, but you got a lot of people feeling pretty crappy.  Thank god for the people who have the sense of humor that makes us forget about our pain and make us laugh irreguardless.

Please don't leave the forum there are good people with lots of knowledge that you will need along your journey.

I can be a stinker sometimes.  I'm married to a biker, not that that even matters.
Most of our biker friends are millioners, lawyers, doc.
my point sometimes I just say it like it is.
Shame on me.

there are several things you can do which will be helpful to your fitting into the group.

1.  don't shout. (write in all uppercase) you can emphasize a word or phrase, but it is hard for us to read when we are on treatment, many get fuzzy vision or are just bothered by any stimulation, visual, noise. hope for i speak for more than my self.  write in lower case.  it is easier to read.

2.  when you have a question, such as above about doesn't anyone have good news.  start a new thread rather than post questions not relevant to the post you have entered.

now there are times people who have developed relations with each other jump in and topic changes somewhat as they banter or exchange greetings, but if you follow these suggestions it should help you get more postive responses to your questions, which are directed specifically at you, because it is your posting/thread which you have started. and then you can engage with those people who respond.  your conversations w/people will grow over time. i felt awkward with this process when i first started.

i posted in threads these past two days some problems but also that i am 2 weeks post tx. and feel no after symptoms of mental fog or fatigue.  i think that is excellent news.. and i hope someone is encouraged by that as tx can be such hell - and i am one who had so much problems while on it.

this is a great place to come for support.
good luck in your treatment
rose
good luck to you.

No, Htownwife gets the final word!!! :)

Missy, I didn't take offense to what you said. You stated clearly all was forgiven. And yes, I know what the SX can be like even though I've never treated. I've lived with my husband who has, and it's been a real roller coaster, both physically and emotionally.

Robin, hope to see you around! You're going to feel better if you do, and nobody has taken offense to anything you've said. This treatment is SCARY, and emotions will run high! This is a GREAT place to vent, and also to get support!!

Hi Bonnie - I'm fairly new to this site as well.  I am currently strating Prove 3 for non-responders (was treated 2 years ago), and am fully aware of what lies ahead for me.  I definately had good days, and of course, some bad days.  I am sorry that you are on your own going through this process - everyone reacts differently to treatment, as for me, I try to focus on the good things - like maybe one day I was able to spend a few hours in the garden, etc... some nights I sleep really well, I rarely had headaches.  But then there are others whom are totally knocked out by this treatment - that's why it's important to share how you're feeling - good or bad!  Please remember that everyone reacts differently emotionaly & physically to treatment.  Since the meds throw you in a "chemical induced" depression, I mentally tried to do my best to recognize when I was having a good day and be greatful for that!  As for me personally, if I didn't look for the positive, it would all consume me.  Please know there are others out there that feel just like you.  And, you're not alone - there are plenty of people on this site that will share positive info with you!  Starting with me!!
Peace & Blessings,
west coast missy (not the other missy)

I just posted on the other side that my husband just took shot #48 and he's feeling great! As a matter of fact, he's outside doing yardwork right now.

But believe me, he's had PLENTY of bad days too! I came here to the forum for advice during those times, and got LOTS of support and good advice.

I recommend you keep coming to this forum.
You're going to have both good and bad days.
People here will champion you on during the good times, and you'll get plenty of support during the bad times.

This treatment is too difficult to do "on your own", especially when there are so many here ready to help.

You're 100% right that there is not enough good news posted. I have mentioned this myself as far as not having a balance on forum. Too long for me to go into why I believe this is so.

You have nothing to apologize for. You said NOTHING WRONG.

My good news is I just did shot 17 and I have felt great during tx except for occasional mood swing or attitude.(geno 2b)

I just was told I am slightly anemic 10.9, but I feel fine. I still have tons of energy.

There are many people who suffer thru tx and that has to be horrible to have to deal with, but there are many who don't post how great they feel too. Sometimes people 'feel bad' saying they 'feel good.'

That shouldn't be, but there are reasons, don't feel like getting into the history of it all, but I will say this,,,,no one can stop me from shouting from the roof top that I feel good. True friends will be happy for me, those that aren't, aren't what I consider a 'true friend.'

Stick around for as long as you feel you are receivng help, info and support. If that ends, then yes I would move on, but until then let the other stuff slide if you can.

I know how you feel tho because sometimes I feel the scale is tipping on the wrong side when weighing if I should stick around. If I feel stressed after being on forum more than feeling the support or help then its time to back off, take a break or leave all together. If you are new to forum, its maybe too early to tell yet. There are alot of nice people here so don't let one person make you feel bad or leave.

Good luck!

In two years here I have never seen anything but 100% support when someone posts some good news.

The problem always seems to come when someone turns it into an issue such as "why don't people post good news", as if there's some sort of conspiracy going on :) In
Bonnie's case, she's new here and no doubt had good intentions, I can also understand "Missy's" reaction.

People come here primarily for support and to get questions answered. They also often post how they feel and unfortunatly it's often not great but that's understandable considering the drugs they are on. But again, people post all the time that they're having a good day, etc.

The other thing to keep in mind is that the drugs, combined with the whole treatment experience, can make people a bit touchy.

BTW I had a great day and feel good. I'm also one year post treatment :)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I posted early on in tx that I had no sx, many people said that they were happy to hear that, but I also had other "long time members" tell me "I was in the honeymoon stage, enjoy it now, cause things will change." And I could give a list of other negative comments. So that to ME was not being supportive. How about when I posted my diet and only cause we usually do exchange supplement and food choices and I was told I wasn't being compassionate to the one who can't eat on tx. This place is a joke sometimes. Why I stopped by today is beyond me.

I think that if you re-read that post you made back then you'd see that people weren't reacting to the fact you weren't having any side effects but to some other statments made about side effects in general and being representative, etc. In those types of threads, it's not surprising that those who have bad sides may not agree, or feel that their problems are being minimized.

I vaguely remember the "supplement" thread but from time-to-time that has often been a touchy subject here matter what anyone posts. My faint recollection is that you didn't say anything wrong but that someone jumped down your throat, but people here have posted numerous times about eating Cheeseburgers, Pizza, Ice Cream, etc, (in my case ham and cheese omelets with homefries) with no recourse, so really have no idea what that may have been about.

Didn't mean to get into your face and sorry if I came off that way but I truly believe that no one has ever been put down simply for stating that they're feeling good or not having any side effects.

The whole issue of whether or not this discussion group -- or any health discussion group for that matter -- is an interesting one and probably is better served by its own thread, as opposed to raising the issue within a thread when someone reports they're feeling good or bad. We've had some of those threads in the past, and not surprisingly they get quite heated with good arguments both ways.

Hope this finds you otherwise well.
