If you're looking for natural or OTC treatments for nausea, start with ginger ale. If you want something stronger, try ginger beer (it's not alcoholic, but it can be hard to find in a regular grocery store). Both help with nausea, but the effect doesn't last all that long. Beyond that, for bad nausea with quick onset, try Emetrol. It's OTC and available in brand-name or generic in any drugstore. It really works, but again, doesn't necessarily last long. If what you've got is worse than that, talk to your doc. There are prescription meds that work well.
Narcotic pain relievers can make one nauseous/queezy.
They do work great though. I find it's safer to get a good rx for pain.
You will wind up taking less tylenol in the long run and take the edge off the pain for longer periods of time than with tylenol.
Ginger I don't know about. I cook with ginger a lot but am unsure about the root.
I did try ginger snaps (cookies) on tx on days my tummy wasn't quite right.
I wasn't nauseous, I think I was hungry but too tired from the anemia to eat.
They didn't help much but it didn't hurt either.
