Can you guys please bear this post once more and clearIfy  me one more question please .  I belive the second lab it is one of the very few labs in india got college of american pathologsit accrediction . I heard that realtime pcr is sensitive than nested pcr ? . Does anyone know the sensitivity of nested pcr ? Can it be  detect acute infection at 5 week post exposure ? Or is it not reliable for finding lower viral loads at acute stage ?   . . . . . . . I MAY BE IRRITATING POSTING SIMULAR THINGS, SORRY  PLEASE BEAR THIS POST GUYS , I KNOW I AM PUTTING LOT OF FOLLOW UP QUESTIONS . THESE MUST BE ASKED TO DOCTOR BUT I DONT HAVE ONE . Thanks for the help . Ya i am waiting for making the another test. But i am very afraid to make the another pcr because of the first false positive ( I pray it must be ) .

And will every one in acute stage have liver enzyme rise ?

Same as I said before I copy what copyman said. It sounds like you do not have HCV so I don't know why they would be doing ultrasound. Wait a few months and test again to be sure but it seems you are fine.

I think you are fine and don't have HCV. Sounds like first test was a false positive. You can have one more test in a few months to be sure. Best of luck
