Me too, they left the little buggers...however, I had a mini breakdown right after the surgery...doc said the hormones were flowing around my blood from my ovaries w/nowhere to go and it is like an overflow type of thing so be careful girl! I was very depressed, emotional, sort of like a mini-menopause...I even tried to kill myself after a fight with my husband! Seriously! I took all the pain meds and said adios! Luckily I woke up after about 12 hourse of sleeping....boy was I out of it and the sob let me do it too...didn't even bother to take me to the hospital...Obviously he is my X husband now...Anyway, I still went thru menopause because of them and that was awful too, 4 years of hot flashes that are just now tapering off...I am hot right now as a matter of fact but not so much flashing, just hot maybe I'm just a permanently hot mama now! ha! Hope you do ok and keep us informed, ok?

i got to keep my ovaries.
I take it as a great sign that you were able to get in here and post!
I am SO SORRY that you are going through SO DAM* much all the time! But I'm glad that now at least you have this out of the way and are moving on.
you know you have our prayers and support, always!
it sounds to ME like you are going to be on an UPWARD trend now and I am VERY happy about that!
Things will just continue to get better so hang in there!
Hopefully, it's just a swollen gland or something, sometimes there is material that leaks, (I know eck) please let us know how it comes out, perhaps someone can come along that knows more about this.
Yikes, I wonder how many got hysterectomys here. I for one found out that I could of lazered it or done some other things...it's just really jacked up my hormonal balance, but then there are others who have normal hormonal balances nonetheless. I for one am dang glad that I don't get a visit from Aunt Mary every month, that's a real plus.
I too had a vag hysterectomy and along with it came the vile 2 pints of blood that I believe to be the cause of this virus...Mine was back in 1980 and I was glad to have it at the time...got rid of all the bleeding and anemia and carcinoma in situ which would have killed me if left untreated...plus no more of that monthly junk I hated! However, other problems came along with it which of course is not for mixed company...
But yikes woman! I was afraid to get a friggin root canal if I was on tx and you go and get major surgery! I can't believe the doc would do that unless you had a major emergent problem that couldn't wait...jeeeezzzzlouise fres! Did they leave your ovaries or take them?
Cin
Sorry you've had to go through this ordeal, but what is done is done, and at least it's in the process of being behind you now. Being a day late with your shot and skipping a day or riba shouldn't have any effect on SVR. Bed rest sounds like a good plan. Hope you feel better soon.

There's not much I can say that has'nt been said already but please, be very good to yourself and get lot's of rest. All the above advice cannot be said enough....rest, rest and more rest!! God bless and may you heal up fast.
I am so sorry you are having such a hard time, big hug for you from the dip!
Ouch, ouch and more ouch. Your are one strong goddess of a woman. I know you were torn about doing this procedure while on treatment. Sleep, sip nice teas, make the other humans in your life wait on you hand and foot. Be Queen for the day--no the week--no a month! We're all rooting for a speedy and complete recovery!

Inspiration was obviously born in Fresno. May you be blessed with strength from all of us you have strengthened.

I hope you don't mind if I piggy back off your question. I have hepc 1a. The Dr's found a large lump between by breast and under arm.going for a mammo hoping it's not breast cancer. Has any one had the to happen and how did the tx effect your liver?
Yowza girl! Please get some rest and try to drink lots of fluids.
Hang in there. We are all thinking about you.
It just sounds awful.. I hope you can rest and heal. At least some of the problems you have been having will be resolved - it was endometrious, (sp) wasn't it? Please take care and get lots of rest

Well, at the risk of becoming too graphic for some of our viewers....particularly our male cohorts, when you get a vaginal hysterectomy they take out your innards from the vagina...the one I had is one where they cut through the muscle above the uterus and bring it out thorough there, (I can just see the whincing on some people's faces, sorry!)which is considerably worse...anytime they have to cut through muscle it's bad news...although the other one is no picnic either. Like I said, I just can't imagine it on tx.
Ladies if you are reading this, speaking for myself, I'm really sorry I had one. Got talked into it by my doc in the mid-90's because of fibroids. If I knew all I know now, I would of opted for other ways to deal with them. But of course, sometimes we have to endure hysterectomy. I feel so bad for Fresno, I didn't really know what pain was until I had that procedure done. Healing vibes to you!
Goof, sorry I blew your mind on that other thread, really, I didn't do it on prepuse!!!!
Hey gal - we are sure praying for you. I cannot imagine the pain you must be in. I am sorry you must endure this, and now the worry about missing a day's dose. Above all, please know that we are praying for a quick recovery to your poor body.
I never heard of a vaginal hysterectomy, something new?
Geeeee Mgeeee, I can't imagine a hysterectomy on top of tx. I had one, and I still remember it vividly, all I can say is I hope you had a vaginal one (sorry guys.) I had the other and all I can say is, YIKES! I remember the intake nurse telling me it wouldn't hurt "that" bad, she had one, and I felt relieved, on my way out I asked her why did she tell me that bs, and she quicky said, if I would of told you the truth, would it have helped matters? she had a point.
And yeah, the nausea, runs, vomiting, is from probably the anesthesia and the morphine, especially the morphine. I'm allergic to any opiate related drugs and I knew that, but the pain was soooo great that I told them to go ahead and give me a shot, boy did I regret that. The room was spinning so much for 3 days cause it did a number on my inner ear balance (that's why people get the spins from being too drunk.) All I can say is please just rest, rest rest, recoop to regroup. Dont worry about anything but healing. I actually took a long time to heal, like over a month, but like I said, I didn't have a vaginal. You must of had an emergency procedure cause I can't see why they'd give you invasive surgery on those drugs. All my best to you. I guess the whole "feel like youre going to die" thing comes with the territory. Remember REST!!!!
Wow,,,I agree,,,You are one tough lady! I'm so surprised that your dr did sugery while you were on tx. Was it an urgent matter that couldn't wait. I can't even imagine going through that on top of tx,,,,I will be thinking of you and let us know how you are doing day to day,,,,Get lots of rest and baby yourself! You deserve it!
Holy moly woman! You are the rock of frikken Gibralter! A hysterectomy with tx. I bow before you. Hang in there-you just became a forum legend.
