Safe Expectorant while on tx?

Good morning, I wondering if anyone can recommend something to loosen chest congestion that wont be harmful to the liver or the treatment process?

Just be VERY careful and heed the instructions about keeping it on a flat service as opposed to lifting it up to your face.

Please don't ask me how I know but the doctor told me the burns would take six months to heal, fortunately they healed in six weeks -- must have been the Peg. LOL.

BTW read recently that "expectorant" cough meds really don't do any better than a placebo. That said, I found decent relief with Robotussin DM and would use it again. Probably best to check the ingredients though and run it by your doctor. Good luck!

I have no idea. Can you ask your Nurse or Doctor.  I do know that alot of medicine is processed by the liver and it not the best.  I have been battling a cough due to allergies. Some days very little and some days more.  If it does not go away in a week I will ask m y doctor what can I take to get rid of it.
