I took care of an oldster, with many ailments ,COPD, CHF,diabeties, dementia, lung cancer and the rest of the list was as long as my arm. But his biggest complaint was "sick and tired of being tired" he wanted to try a B-12 shot. Eventually a doctor gave him the B-12 shots, and his Oxygen intake was raised. He felt great. Then he died... Anyways If a person is tired from tx and its not hbg (h. anemia) I was wondering if tired folks might be able to just get B-12 shots? Has anyone attempted or tried to do that?

Sorry you are feeling so fatigued.  Unless you been there, I can't imagine anyone knowing what it feels like.  I tried everything, including protein drinks every morning.  Nothing really helped.  Kind of just resigned myself to accepting the fatigue and decided not to do anything more than I had to while I was treating.  Someday it will all be behind you.  Good luck and hang in there.

How's you hgb?  You may be experiencing some hemolytic anemia from the ribavirin and if so Procrit (Epogen) can help raise the red blood cells which helps with the fatigue.  I know you're in the Dominican Republic and getting help with the treatment drugs so that may not be an option for you but thought I'd throw that info out there.

I was also very fatigued on treatment.  My doc referred to it as interferon fatigue and there wasn't much I could about it.
