What I found disconcerting was that my hair kept falling out at the same fast rate for 3 months after I stopped the meds. I thought it was never going to stop till it had all gone. But after 3 months the loss slowed down. I don't know about growing back yet. Seems the hair thing really takes a long time.
dointime.
Mine is comming in as well but it is about the same pace as it always has grown. I had terribly dry hair and skin when on tx and conditioners and lotions were my best friend. I lost about 40% of my hair. Now that we are in winter time if I look at a mirror sometimes I will notice that I have 3 inch strands sticking straight up (the static electicity does it). Really funny looking.
When I finally went to the hairdresser during tx, she put some heavy duty conditioner on my hair, as it was so dry. I lost about 40% all over, so it was just really thin. It is coming back after tx. A bit slow but it will come back!! My hair is back to curly and long, although I hate these 1 inch bangs!
I also have experienced lots of thinning all over. Seems like there is more hair on the bathroom floor since I stopped tx in November. LOTS!!!
I also had somewhat naturally wavy hair that was thick. Curl gone! Even when I use a curling iron, it doesnt hold.

1yr. 6mths post tx, hair finly coming back on top, about 2 inches long now.
I can't say how much I lost because it thinned all over. The texture changed from curly to straight. It was nothing like my hair but after 6 months or so it returned to normal or close to normal. Mike
My hair is getting real thin now....to the point i may get a wig, mine didnt even start coming out till 6 months into treatmeant. I hope it grows back lol when im done...if not ill find a man that likes bald women hahaha. Mine is not only top but coming out all over.
Six months for me too. Got to admit I was not convinced that it would happen, and pretty darm pleased when it did.
How much did you lose and in what area of the head did you lose it from?
Willis doesn't have such a pointy conehead, though. :)
So, Pro, the final countdown is on. You and Za tied for a photo finish and me nipping at your heels.
You must be week 57 or 58? How's TX treating you these days?

It took mine 5 or 6 months after every TX before it was back to normal. Mike
"Bruce Willis look" (lol) ..........:^)
I'm on week 55 of 72 week TX. My hair has thinned on top, at the crown area, but as long as i get it trimmed once a month and keep it short it doesn't look too bad.
i was reading about hair loss yesterday, on some site, and the CW was that hair loss is generally NOT a permanent issue and reverses once TX stops.
I'd be upset, too, at the thought of losing hair that had just started growing back but it seems to be all too common on these meds.
A lot of ladies have discussed getting wigs but for guys I think the Bruce Willis look is attractive. *LOL*

I have been off tx for 9 mos. My hair in the front is coming in like bangs about an inch long. Looks pretty awful. My hairdresser says my hair is better now, but the new growth took a long time, still is. Good luck on the new go around!
