What day to start tx?

This is still all new to me, but from what I understand, I have to take these shots on the same day every week.

My question is: What day is best?

My Dr. suggested Friday nights because that way I would feel my worst over the weekend and it wouldn’t interfere with work as much.

My concern is I already hate work and would rather feel my best over the weekend when I spend time with my family and can enjoy myself.

Any suggestions? How did you decide?

Uggggh I had a real hard time driving. Hopefully you  won't!  That brain fog can get you and somedays, even not on shot days, you will may feel unable to think in a manner that allows you to drive or anything else!  Perhaps you will be okay. You just need to be aware when this happens, we certainly don't want to drive or make big decisions on the days our brains take  a break.

I went with Friday night just to minimize down time at work Monday thru Friday. Blood work on Thursday. Worked well for me. First 2 shots messed up my weekend, but after that it was not much of a problem.

onward and upward!

Thanks for all the advice.  I think I’m leaning toward Tuesday. That way it doesn’t screw up 3 day weekends. (can you tell I live for the weekend? Lol)

I hadn’t thought about lab work, so I will avoid Sunday and I didn’t realize I could adjust the day by one day a week.

I do have a physical job that also involves driving, but my boss will hold my job if I have to take short or long term disability. Guess I’m lucky in that respect
.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that my sx will be minimal as I do rely on overtime quite a bit with 4 kids in college.

Thanks again everyone.

Don't start Sunday unless your blood lab and/or Drs office is open on Saturday.  Reason being that u want to draw blood for viral load the day before your injection or day of injection but before the injection. FWIW many feel worse on day 4-6. It really varies with the individual and can even change from week to week.

Yes, I agree with desrt. it depends on your work. If you sit at a desk, you will most likely be okay. I didn't work during tx, so I am not a great one to say. But I agree with you, I didn't want my weekends ruined, so I took my shots on Wed. night. Enough time to be okay for the weekend. Now this didn't always work! But it was a good plan. You can change your date, ahead one day a week, if you don't like your day.

It depends on what kind of work you do, how bad your side effects are, and how important it is to keep your job - at least that's how I decided. It took 4-5 hours for the full effect to hit me, so I always did mine at lunch Friday  That way the worst was over by around noon on Monday.

I take my shots Sunday night.   I don't work.  Everyone reacts different to the medications.  I have sx but I know that if I was working I could still carry on.  For me the sx are not so bad that I could not go to work.  I am not 100% but life is doable.  Stay positive.  It's not that bad.  Good luck, it's worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
