Where Are You Injecting?

I don't have much fat so I've been injecting around my stomach and torso. I'm afraid if I use my arm or leg that I will inject into the muscle. Soon I will be wearing shorts and I'd like to use my upper thighs. I'm male, 180 pounds.

lol, and they make us eat 3 fatty meals a day with the meds!! I'll be fat by the time I'm done. I usually don't eat til noon. Now I have to get up at 6-7 AM and eat something with my four Victrelis caps. Only 43 more weeks. I will find out this Friday if I'm an early viral responder. Going to the lab today. PLEASE be undetectable!!!

The leg shot worked out. Just a little more painful than the gut area but still no big deal. I'll just be sure and do the pinch thing. Thighs and a$$. lol. Yup, that's what it will be because soon I will be running around in just shorts a lot. (I'm a boater)

Yeah, ideally you should have a partner for that....but it can be done solo too.

I practiced site rotation as much as I could. I don't have much belly or thigh fat but I could usually find a way to stretch enough skin out to inject. Especially since half way through treatment I was injecting the Peg once a week, Procrti twice a week and for a short time, the Neupogen.

Here is this from Pegasys:

Subcutaneous injection sites are places in the layer of tissue directly under the skin; not necessarily into fat. The muscle is actually not easy to inject if anything because it feels different (to me anyways) there is resistance and it hurts. Look:

hi would have thought it would be easier to do on thigh it a flat surface so to speak and easier to see the pen making sure it was done properly i dont think there is much chance of injecting into muscle the pens not designed for that so i think you will beable to do it with confidence also hubby found he didnt bruise doing it in thigh !

Jillybean, that's funny! I've got these big round red spots all over my stomach. It looks like measles gone wild or something. It's not going to work in the summer. No speedos for me so I will try my thigh. In fact today is shot day so I'm going to pinch and inject in my thigh right now! I appreciate the replies. :)

For me? It seemed like it melted the fat everywhere I did it, so then, my crazy girl brain thought, "Wow, this is almost like liposuction!"  From that point on, I picked the fastest parts of my body that I wanted to go away (read love handles and outside of thighs), and went to work on those areas.

Call me crazy, but it worked!!!!  :)

I started off injecting in my left and right side of my abdomen but I didn't like the big bruise-like marks that were left. I started injecting in my upper thighs and pinch about an inch of flesh (no muscle, just top layer of fat) to do the shots. I've had no problems and the only way these bruises will show is if I wear Speedos which I never do. I'm hoping the bruises will go away after treatment as the ones on my abdomen are finally subsiding.

I used all different targets too.  On upper thighs I got some brusing but it just looked like I was hit by a pitched baseball.  No big deal.  My wife says that I don't care what I look like any way.  If you go for the surfer length shorts you'll be ok.
