frankly, i think these "new" old threads are being generated by people who respond to a thread and then see all of the links saying "related discussions" right under the thread.  They click on one of those and don't realize its two or more years old.

HI Tashka,

Old posts can be resurrected if someone tags a comment to an old archived thread. This often happens when someone Googles a subject and responds outside the immediate forum; or is otherwise unfamiliar to this medium.

Thanks for your input here; you have contributed some very useful information to this forum.

Be well—

Bill, why do these threads get pulled out of the archives? Do you know? I thought it is a new thread. I usually don't look at the dates if the thread appears on the firs page.

Starshine, this is an old post. It’s important to look at the dates when you write here; sometimes an old thread will be pulled out of the archives. Congratulations on your undetectable status--

Hi Pompon12,

I also have Class 1A and this is my second attempt at treatment, the first back in 92 which was not successful and this time I just got back my 3 month Viral Load and I was told I am Undetectable!!  Talk about excited!!  I have several friends that just completed treatment and are still undetectable and it's been months since they stopped treatment so there is lots of success that I am hearing about, including myself with  late stage 4 and cirrhosis.  So there is great hope for success!

Sincerely, Starshine1ca

Yes... I believe I am genotype 1a. I heard that genotypes 1 and 4 are the most difficult to treat and take the longest. What have you heard? What genotype were u?

I went through treatment and it worked the first time.  Lots of people have.

The chance of sucess depends on what genotype you have.  Do you know that yet?
