I think it is very low probability but still possible. why not just go get tested? there are even home tests you can order on the internet. why keep beating yourself up with always wondering, just get tested and be done with it. if that is the only exposure you are worried about then I would say you don't have HCV. i highly doubt it. I am an esthetician and I have hep C, estheticians should always wear gloves with acne, should always wear gloves when they do extractions, should always wear gloves if there are any pustules, lesions on the face.
I did however stick myself once when cleaning my untensils.
You should just make sure the esthetician follows universal protocals.
I do not use sharps anymore, and always wear gloves until I see whats going on with the skin.
