C5  NYGIRL THAT IS YOUR OPINION AND YOU ARE ENTITLED TO IT. I KNOW ALL OF THE SX I MENTIONED WERE ALSO THE SAME SIDES THAT I GOT WHILE ON TREATMENT. LET ME JUST RE-CLARIFY, MY MOTHER AND MY DAUGHTER AND MY ONLY SISTER HAVE HYPOTHYRODISH, HUH GUESS THAT ALSO MADE ME A CANIDATE. ONCE AGAIN, MY HEP C CLASSES SAID IF I WERE EVER GOING TO HAVE THYROID PROBLEMS THE MEDS. WOULD SPEED UP THE PROCESS. ON YEA, ONE OTHER THING I LOSSED 33 POUNDS DURING 6 MOS. OF TREATMENT AND WITHIN 2 MOS. OF STOPPING TREATMENTS I HAD PUT 18 OF IT BACK ON, KINDA QUICK DON'T YOU THINK? WELL ANYWAY LIKE I SAID YOU ARE ENTITLED TO YOUR OPINION BUT I TEND TO BELIEVE MY MD WHO REALLY TAKES HIS TIME WITH ME AND ANSWERS ALL MY QUESTIONS UNLIKE MY HEP DOC. AFTER THIS POST I HAVE NO DESIRE TO COME BACK TO READ COMMENTS SUCH AS YOURS!

My wife will fly into NY 6/8 as we have a reunion on the 10th and we will fly home TOGETHER 6/12 ......   No more trips to NY for treatment I hope.  My doc is doing a PCR after my 22nd shot, if I'm still undetectable 24 weeks will be it, but if I'm not then I'll continue tx without a break in treatment.

The swollen paw has gone down, finally.  But I feel like sh*t and can't eat.  I'm down to 149lbs and with 3 weeks left I can't believe I'm having bad sxs.  The sxs now are worse then any other time durning treatment.

Trying to have a conversation via computer listserv or email is extremely difficult because you cannot see facial expressions, body language or hear how the message is voiced.  I stopped conversing with people via email on important topics since there were so many misunderstandings.  With all the posts in this forum I am quite surprised that there is not more of this.  

It is quite a testament to the people on this board who are thoughtful, helpful, patient, empathetic, kind, and bright - and NYG you are definitely the flag bearer here.  

Then again, people here are trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly ...... naw that's the boy scouts - I get heppers and boy scouts mixed up all the time.  Gotta remember that there is no combo treatment yet for boy scout - oh noooo, just kidding all you scouts out there LOL - of which NYGirl you are definitely the flag bearer - ohhh just kidding, we all know there are no boy scouts in NY - ohhh just kidding, New Yorkers, we love NY and know that you killed off all the scouts a long time ago - omg I cant stop!

yeah, my doctor said it could definately be because of my lacerated liver... I do the bx in 6 days.  I cant wait!  Also I am 3A, and I have been reading a TON about 3A's and Liver Stetosis.  Apparantly 3a's have a much higher rate of expanded liver and uncomfortability than others, and with the Lacerated liver I am a good canidate for uncomfortability and enlargement.

this forum makes me feel like such a hyper active newbie, but I love it... I feel like Hammy on the right...

YES I TOTALLY AGREE.  The only thing I said or meant to say is...do not go out and get a test just because your hair starts to fall out and you lose weight and have brittle nails because THAT IS ALSO the VERY common common sides of the regular treatment.  I TOTALLY agree that periodic testing is done...in fact if mine WASNT I wouldn't know my thyroid kicked the bucket.

I just didn't want newbies reading and saying wow I lost weight! Wow I am losing hair I have to run out and get a thyroid test!!!

Can you imagine how many people who didn't realize the symptoms or THYROID DISEASE MIRROR THE SYMPTOMS of treatment (and well about 100000 other diseases LOL)

That's all. I certainly didn't mean don't be tested...!

PS I am only on thyroid meds because I wasn't already taking enough pills so I went out and whacked my neck with a hammer until I killed it off ;)
