anxiety attack.tripple treatment.interferon.riba.

Tonight i woke up thinking i was about to die.
I thought i had a heart attack,i couldn't breath and i panicked
After sitting upright for hours and just trying to focus on anything else
slowly it got better. It was a terrible experience.
So,today i looked it up,if it was maybe a side effect of my treatment and indeed.....when i typed in triple treatment and anxiety attack i saw that it is one of the known side effects of  interferon. But im still sort of worried if it might have got something to do with my heart,(it really feels like your heart is going to explode) so tomorrow i have an appointment with a doctor.
Are there more people who have this and are there tips to avoid it??

I had a similar incident although not so intense

I had my heart rate going up quite a lot (tahicardic) and arytmia one night and as a result I got anxious. Straight away I started to breath faster, I thought I might have a heart attack and I got scared and started to hyperventilate.

I called my specialist nurse and I have at home my mums blood pressure device so I started to monitor every hour

What I saw helping instantaneoulsy was to think about my state as a water( to start with a fast stream in the mountain who is fast and moves randomly and as it goes down the mountain it gets a big river and goes towards the sea and it comes down and slow down and is calm)

I had my pulse dropping from 100 to 85 in a few minutes
I also saw a big drop after drinking couple of glasses of water. Dehydration can give that type of symptoms. As I have been told: WATER< WATER< WATER !!!!!

(In the same way I saw that rate increasing in a few minutes after I put some salt on my meal)

I hope this helps

Thanks for all the reactions.
It really helps a lot to know that i'm not the only one battling
with all the side effects of the treatment.
Never thought this would mean so much to me.

I think what's happening here is something I'm all too familiar with, there called In the buisness PANIC ATTACKS and you really feel like it's the end,for those who would like to try,and it does work for me,there is a drug specially for these symptoms(not heart) it's called Xanax it works quicker than any other drug of it's type and it has stopped many of my panic attacks please talk it over with your doctor,or Psyciatrist.

I only had a panic attack AFTER my Tx, while on my way, to pick up my 3 month post treatment results, and I was so terrified the labs would show that the virus came back (it didn't!)
I drank water, ate a banana, and focused on letting me anxiety go.
During my Triple Treatment, I also experienced tons of anxiety, focused, of course, on what the meds were doing to my body/health.  When that occured, I would eat a small snack, and go for a walk...for distraction.
If it happens again, like was suggested above, an Ativan may help, o be used, only during the anxiety attack~  good luck

If you continue to experience anxiety, especially panic attacks like you had, you might consider asking your doctor for a prescription to help with that.  Alprazolam (Xanax) is a medication that helps.  Some doctors prescribe it as a medication to take every 8 hours, some prescribe it as a medication to take as needed.  Also, some antidepressants also work well to lower anxiety.  It's important to get through treatment, so any side effects are best discussed with your doctor and managed early so that they don't become an impediment to completing treatment.
Good luck.
