For a couple of years I ran a low grade fever in the 99 range I never connected it till I was DX and doc said that was prob a way of my body trying to fight off the virus.
painterlady what was ur stage of liver fibrosis befroe treatment?
I wam a 1 not sure if a or b and a stage and grade 1. My doc did say that that "could" have been a symptom without ever knowing. Not for sure though but haven'[t had any other underlying med probs so I don't know.
Yes. My original dr kept blowing it off as "maybe you're coming down with something". Ya think, and you want a copay for that piece of wisdom? After fainting in the middle of the street and spending the day in the emergency room, I called him and his response was, "that shouldn't have happened." P.S. I found a new doctor.
I told him about the recurring low-grade fever, not enough to keep me home from work, but enough to make me feel "yucky" and lethargic all the time. [Given my upbringing, I chalked it up to being "lazy"!] That, along with only slightly elevated ALT/AST was enough for him. He dx'd me as the proud owner of HCV.
I guess my first dr didn't think I fit the "profile" for HCV -- whatever that's supposed to mean.
Yes sir, I had the low grade fever before starting tx. Would come and go .
