Recommendation for Indiana Hep C Patients

I was a geno 1b.  White male, 50 years, infected 20+ years.

I participated in the  Vertex Prove 3 trial at the IU School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN.

Before Prove 3, I had failed SOC tx because my viral load declined slowly until I had a viral breakthrough at week 32.  My local Voo-Doo doctor wouldn't listen when I suggested upping the INF dosage or change Schering to Roche.

Dr. Paul Kwo is the head of hepatology at IU Med Center.  Paul (first name basis) treated me with respect and as an active participant...I can't say enough good things about the guy.  Paul Kwo is at the forefront of HCV treatment and I highly recommend that patients in Indiana and surrounding area consider contacting his clinic at 317-278-8118.

Yesterday I leaned that I'm UND 48 weeks after stopping Prove 3.

I'm cured.

Hey congratulations on the UND-- ooops -- I mean SVR!  I have heard good thing about Kwo from candoman.  You were very fortunate to have him for  a doctor.

Rock on, Vertex.  I guess they are going to get really really high behind with a hopeful infusion of cash with a new 7,000,000 share stock offering!  I say, if they need the money to continue this research, move power to them!

Good to see your name again, for indiana treaters I U will soon be having both the boceprevir, and telaprevir trials for relapsers.

As for Dr. Kwo, hes a good guy and very easy to talk to. A email to him usually gets me an answer within a few hours.

Hope your family is also doing great mike. Best to all of you
