Missed my incivek by one hour.

I missed my Incivek window today by one hour.   2:10 o'clock was was my 8 hour time but did not take until I realized it was 4 o'clock.  That makes almost 10 hours. I did not do the fat but had a ton of pizza at lunch  1 o'clock.
What are my consequences and corrective measures? Can I take at 10 tonite, (6 hours) and get back on schedule or should I wait 7  hours and ease back  in?
Also, with regard for no fat did I just invite the flaming crotch devil in my privates? What were some indications or precursors to this nasty demon.  I like fire but only in pit outdoors, be good to know what I should do to get ready.

Did I just do a big oopsy?

Thanks, rog

No. Not that big of an oopsy. I know I did that maybe two or three times....just a little off schedule. I just made a big effort to stay on my regular schedule after the 'slip'. I never missed a dose completely however. And after this, I bet you won't either.
I would, however, caution you to. Ot miss out on the fat with your Incivek...even I'd you are late. The fatty meal must occur within 30 minutes of your dosing for the most effective uptake and absorption of the drug. Even tossing down a handful of peanuts with that late pill would have been better than nothing. You may end up with a little upset stomach from all of this...and then again, maybe not.
One goof shouldn't affect your treatment. Just be vigilant from here on out. :-)

You'll be fine. Look at the graphic on the box. It shows the dosing window 7-9 hours. I've been off only a couple times at the start and then it became routine. I took my final pills today. This last week I've been off 30 min to
an hour due sick parents and having to work hard to swallow food.

Don't worry,

Reva.

My doses were prescribed a little different. My Incivek and Ribivirin are both 3 ea at 10 to 12 hours apart. For a total of 1200mg of Rib and 2250mg of Inc per day.

Well the directions say 7~9 hours between doses so I wouldn't think it's a big deal.

I do have text reminders go off 4 times a day. My phone was on charger in office but I was in conference with customers all afternoon. All of a sudden it was 4 and I said $#!!, I gotta go for a minute.  I monitored my stomach gurgles and waited for a blow out but was able to will it stable.  Let it brew a bit I thought, I'm not done with customers yet.  So far so good.
I will keep my phone better tethered to me.

Rog, I did the same thing once and am now SVR. If you can, set the alarm on your cel phone to avoid this again. Doing that saved my butt a few times.

It is quite difficult to gross us out, LOL. This forum probably has more body fluid descriptions and more references to the rectum/anal area than just about any other forum. So we are pretty used to detailed descriptions and questions that affect/concern our bodily functions.

Glad you remembered to take the pill when you did so that you did not miss a dose.

ok, back on schedule then.  I am serious about this tx and hate mistakes. I am perfectionist in my challenges and goals and no it won't happen again.  I just got paranoid at missing I just gobbled down and to get med in me.  I new someone here could help with question instead of me hunting through literature.  Stomach feels fine, I think I had enough pizza, as a little burp had a little chew in it just prior to taking meds. Will see how chute does in am.
Sorry if I grossed anyone out,  just tell it like it happened.

Thanks for the relief!!

How should I take INCIVEK? Take INCIVEK exactly as your healthcare provider tells you. Your healthcare provider will tell you how much INCIVEK to take and when to take it.
Take INCIVEK 3 times a day. Each dose should be taken 7 to 9 hours apart. Eat a meal or snack that contains about 20 grams of fat, within 30 minutes before you take each dose of INCIVEK. Talk to your healthcare provider about examples of foods that you can eat that contain about 20 grams of fat.
Always take INCIVEK with food. If you miss a dose within 4 hours of when you usually take it, take your dose with food as soon as possible. If you miss a dose and it is more than 4 hours after the time you usually take it, skip that dose only and take the next dose at your normal dosing schedule.

Your good and in the 7-9 hr window
