I was dx'd in 2004, but from the time I decided to actually DO something about it was about 9 months. A 6-month pre-existing insurance wait, then 3 months of tests, lab work, biopsy, EGD, MRI, eye test, dental check. Took first shot Jan 2, 2009, will do last May 14, 2010.

I think it took me about two months too. I did have a setback of a few weeks (doctor forgot to tell me I needed to schedule and opthamologist appointment so I couldn't start when I planned until I had that test) but I think that was only about two weeks.

I lived in NY and had access to lots of doctors and hospitals - I guess that would matter greatly, how many locations and options you have.

it took me 6 months from first learning that I had Hep C to starting treatment. I thought my situation was complicated, so it really depends on many things.

I wish you a speedy time getting everything set up!

It would all depend on many factors. I waited about 2 months....Many things involved....biopsy....doctor's schedule. getting your insurance together and more.

Wish you well in starting tx.
