double check your meds from a drugstore

strange thing happen last night from a major rx chain that starts with a "C". i went to get the A & B vaccination vials to bring to my doc next visit so he can inject them. 1st i asked the pharmacist if they were adult doses and he said yes. i pay for the meds and when i get home i open the bag to put them in the fridge and find that they gave me the master boxes with 10 doses in each box. i took out my vials from each box and brought them back to the store. they said thank you a few times as these meds are around $70 each. well it dont stop there, i just happen to look at the "a" vial and it says child dose! i called and they said that they would leave the correct one for me to pick up today. i think the reason there alot of mistakes is that they have "techs" ( college kids) filling the orders. so bottom line is do not trust meds from the drugstores, always check them.

Also beware about drug interactions.  Pharmacists and doctors don't always catch them.  A friend was getting her kid's meds from the "W" pharmacy.  She switched to another one and the new pharmacist caught a serious/possibly fatal problem with the 2 drugs the child was taking.

The fever/chills seem to be around all during tx but not to the degree (pun) that it's really bothersome and sometimes not really noticeable.  A while ago I was doing some heads down work and when I lifted my head and neck, I realized that my shirt collar was damp, apparently I was sweeating a little earlier.  But these fever, sweating, chill moments are just pretty much ignored.  My daugher is my thermometer, she stops me and grabs my hands to see of they're warm and clammy or chillingly cool.  If it's just fever or chills I don't take anything unless accompanied by headaches.  I checked by official tx calendar - we are 11 tonight.  Next week, 25% done.

I have to confess I still have not given myself a shot. My friend gives it to me every friday. I know I need to do it but in all honesty don't want to! I did want to ask you, do the fevers ever subside or do they come and go for the entire tx?No procrit this week. HGB 11.9. They want to see next Friday if I hold my own or need to continue shots. I too kind of lost count of shot#. Thanks for the reminder. Thats all I did during holidays. My TV became my best firend.

I guess you can tell that I spent some vacation time watching old movies. Looks like we are #11 this weekend.  Have you gotten comfortable with the self injections?
