If your hgb is 10 or below - or has dropped precipitously, ask your doctor if you need Procrit or epogen or some similar remedy for anemia. I had a rapid drop from 15.5 to 11.5 in just a few weeks, couldn't stand up for more than a few minutes. Procrit did the job. Good luck.
I didnt start feeling sx untill week 4 or so...Yes my fatigue was debilitaing, My HGB went from 14.7 to eventual 9.9 not feeling very energetic. Was a constant feeling of huffin and puffing and I felt like I was walking in Quicksand..After a couple of months I almost got used to it....Had no choice.
Stay hydrated drink lots of fludis wish I could offer you a magic remedy but there is none.
Patience is the key.
Much luck
Char,
Riba drops your hemoglobin (red blood cells that carry oxygen) levels and as they start to go down in the beginning it's very exhausting. It may take a month or 2, and you'll still be very tired, but the most exhausted feeling at the beginning did not last for me and was at its worst as the HGB was dropping early on.. I think most people get a little accustomed to it and altering your activity helps too.
