I will be praying for you also, and I know you can make it. I am sure it is harder on us, once we are older. You've managed to do 19 shots, and only have six more to go.
If I remember right, you are just on the Interferon and the ribavirin, so I dont understand why you have the bad taste.. I get the bad taste form the Victrelis I take, and bought a mouth-wash called Desert Essence Tea Tree Oil moth-wash, whichis mildand refreshing, and the tea tree gets rid of bacteria and fungus, which is what may be causing your bad taste. Over-growth of yeast (fungus) in the body can also cause constipation, so make sure to try to get a natural brand of yogurt down, with plenty of acidophilus in the ingredients.
I remember someone on here suggested a product (for contipation) called "Miralax", have you tryed this one yet? I had black beans (with sour cream) and scrambled eggs, today, with whole grain toast. Contipation is a hard thing to beat, once it sets in for a good long time. I usually have to avoid white breads and meat, and just go with the grains, legumes and veggies. I realize you also must be too tired to shop alot, but you really have to try hard to get that food in your body~ take care

While it is a very hard tx. My hep doc called it a bear, there are meds you can take for nausea. I was on just about entire tx. Also I could not take those giant pills with water, I had to use milk.
I hope you can get some relief. Oh the pills for nausea and itching helped me sleep as well.
Thinking of you
Dee
Do you see a heptologist? Who is treating your Hep C? Even if you only see your heptologist once a month, you can still call and tell them your Sx. Tell him you are getting so tired you can hardly walk and tell him the nausea is more then you can bare, ask for some anti nausea meds. You may have to be a bit more aggressive with your treatment, sometimes that is needed. don't just sit and suffer, be the squeeky wheel adn if your doc won't listen, look for a nother doc who will!
Are you only seeing a hemotologist ? You need to let your doctor know you are having these troubles NOW. Write down all your symptoms and call, email do what you need to do. It's their job to care for you.
If you are taking your ribavirin later in the day, switch your dosage time to earlier. I did mine with breakfast and lunch. The riba can keep you awake.
Good luck.
The hemotologistt only sees u once a month and the rest of time u on you are on your own had this fatigue since beggining but he never seems to comment on it. He say goes with tretment. .Blood work was good last time go back Monday. Sorry to cry on everyone sholder but gets tought some days
I am sorry to hear you are feeling so bad.
Have you told the doctor about your nausea? Thedoc could give you a prescription for an antinausea medication (Zofran or another).
Also, have you had your hemoglobin checked recently. Anemia can make you feel weak and tired.
