THE shots

So, I am supposed to receive the Peg and Riba Tuesday.  Do you think it's necessary fro me to drive 1 1/2 each way to have the NP show me how to give the shot ?  My 3 best friends are RN'S and are happy to help me.  I just don't know if there is some sort of rule  or if it would be inappropriate to ask the Dr if I can skip the drive.

Thanks!!

They instructed and watched me take my first shot. Sorda makes it easier , because ya cant chicken out.  however I didnt feel the needle and its been easy most times. I think the hardest thing is getting the needle out of the pkg with out bending it or putting burrs on it. And making sure it is on the glass vial good.. Good luck to you. I remember your post from awhile back. Sorry it turned out unclear. I hope you do fine with tx and no sx .. ginger

Personally, if I had RN's as best friends, I would be happy to have them show me the first time. It's pretty easy. That's what I would do for sure instead of driving 3 hours total.
Good luck to you Anne, Bree

My doctor gave me the option of being shown how to do the shot. He said I could watch the video on the Pegassist site if I didn't want to bother to go to his office.
