help for the uninsured

i am waiting on treatment at the u of m. u of m has put me on a indigent progaram to be covered for my biopsy and all my appts there. my dr. isnt sure if u of m will cover the cost for my treatment due to the fact that is extremely expensive. i am waiting for my soc. sec. hearing to recieve medicare and disability payments. does anyone know if there is any organizations thet will help with the cost of treatment?  I have to be back to u of m in october.

Look at www.needymeds.org. An incredible resource for medications. Merck is very generous with their ACT program and the new Boceprivir is included.

Just a comment...You say you are waiting for Social Security for disability and Medicare? You do know that it takes 2 years since you first became disabled as determined by SS, before you are eligible to receive Medicare? It sounds like you are in the middle of the process and know this, but I just wanted to bring it up encase you aren't aware of this.

do u happen to have any contact info for any of the pharm co? sorry to be so bothersome but im very uneducated about this whole thing and its very frustrating for me and im very sick and getting worse everyday.

you can apply directly to the pharmaceutical companies for assistance with treatment meds. If you make under $46,000 per year then you should qualify.
