12 wks blood results - part one

Just got back first part of the tests - Heptimax still pending
They look good, except RBC which is below the line 4.07
Hemoglobin is near (just above ) the lower line 13.4
Does this mean that some sort of anemia is around the corner ?
I feel kind of week.

Thx

Your doctor may want a weekly CBC to watch this.  Procrit helped me (five weeks of 40,000 iu/wk) and I came off it in late November.  It has some potential sx but if its that or reducing riba, you want to take the complete dose of riba or at least the most you can tolerate.

Thx

The hemoglobin is on a descending trend, 16 at beginning of tx, almost 13 now...

Anemia will make you feel really weak.  Your hemoglobin is not bad, but has it been dropping?  My hemoglobin dropped in a hurry, had bad dizziness, shortness of breath, exhaustion and eventually inability to stand up without almost losing consciousness (once I actually did pass out just from standing).  This was in weeks 6-12 of tx.

Take a look at the trend in hemoglobin results, you may need to reduce Riba and/or start Procrit.

This is not all bad, if the riba is making you anemic it indicates that your body is absorbing the riba effectively.

Good luck
