biopsy of the bump on the nose

I have had a bump on my nose for the past year or two. Initially, it started off as a pimple but now it seems to have increased. It is about 1cm. It is quite embarrasing as it is on right side of my house. I thought it was part of the bone but then it was determined as if it is a growing tissue away from the nose bone (as per the ENT doctor). The dermatologist thought it might be a cyst but was confirmed as a growing tissue as per the ENT doctor?

He suggested that I have it surgically removed (biopsy of bump on the nose). I wanted to ask if it is something that I should be concerned about. The bump is quite noticeable.

But my concern is:
-Would it keep on growing if untreated?
- Will it leave a scar after the surgery? The ENT doctor said "not sure - he does not think so"
- Will I be black and blue for days, weeks, months?
-Even though the doctor said that he would numb the area before cutting in (through the inside), would it be painful after the procedure?

If someone can offer me professional advice, I would very much appreciate it.

If the bump is on the outside of your nose you should consult with a dermatologist (skin doctor) to get an idea what it is.  Many bumps, blemishes, skin tags, moles can be easily and safely remove without significant scaring.  But check with a specialist.

you obviously posted in the wrong forum but just my opinion i would have it removed. you seem to be worried about being black & blue after or a scar, my thought is that it could be no worse then how it looks now.  good luck
