Dirty tweasers to pull off a tick. Risk of getting infected with diseases?

My mom used our dogs tick removing tweasers to pull a nymphal tick off of me. I was bleeding a little and We did not properly sanitize the tweasers before use. The best she did for sanitizing was heat it in the stove fire for just a second and lightly rinse it. Anyway, since the tweaser s are normally used for pulling ticks off of dogs.. Is there a risk of getting diseases like hiv,or hepatitis since ticks are being pulled off with them and could maybe carry other people's blood? If so how small is that risk?

As far as hep c the virus is a human virus. Hepatitis C is not easily contracted. You are not at risk of hepatitis C. Hep c infected blood from an uninfected person must enter the blood stream of an uninfected person. There are no known incidents of hep c being transmitted in the manner you have described.

For other conditions ask in the appropriate forum but if I were to guess I would think Dodd and humans do not share most virus infections.
