I have suffered with skin problems, rash and itching for a lot of my treatment. This made my skin very tender and sensitive. I would never dream of using bleach on my skin. Find a dermatologist that is familiar with the effects these drugs have on the skin. Don't mess around with this if it starts to get bad- get thee to a doctor.
My dos say use cortisone cream before it gets worse, but if it does they can perscibe something for it.

It's unusual to get the incevik rash so early. The riba rash can be welt like and small spots too. Cortisone cream is rec by both docs I have used. My current doc says the incevik rash usually isn't until about 6 weeks. But who know? Everyone is different. No bleach.
Be careful what read on the forum. The addition of bleach in the water thread was one that sounded to me like something that would make the problem worse. It was one of those threads that forum members had a little levity with and didn't take seriously. A little humor is good for the soul.
If you search for rash within this forum, you'll come up with lots of suggestions on how to trt. These are mostly rashes resulting from Inf/Riba, some Incivek, but the trt may not be that different. The combination of heat/sun/sweating is my nemesis at the moment since I'm still trying to cycle a few times per week. Unfortunately, the minor itch flares back up again in some areas and cortisone cremes help to calm it back down. Also, antihistamines help me also. Talk to your doc before taking anything to get approval.
As researchmonkey mentioned, don't let it get too far before seeking a dermatologist. The over-the-counter meds might not do the trick. Avoid hot showers and definately don't scratch or rub hard with a towel while drying. Hope you don't have to deal with this challenging side.
Benadryl and anti-itch cream has been helping me.
Thanks for the answers. Idk it could be the RIBA. I just didn't get it before on tx. I avoid bleach as much as possible so I wouldn't really try it. I will try the cortisone cream and antihistamines first if that doesn't work I will see a dermatologist. I have a funeral to go to tomorrow in a church that doesn't have air conditioning. I'm a little concerned especially since I do my shot today.
But it is my husbands uncle. He was a wonderful man so I want to go. I'm a little afraid of sweat and heat making me more itchy. And heat seems to make nausea worse for me. I plan to sit on the end of a pew so I can leave if necessary. Thanks again for the input.
Another member, Susan, got the incivek rash about two weeks into treatment. She treated several times prior to the incivek treatment and reported the RIBA rash was different. I would see a dermatologist ASAP. Sorry to read about your husbands uncle.
Blessings

Im on week 4 of tx, and this rash got me really down today!! It started on my elbows, it is now moving down my forearm, around both ankels, each injection site, under both arms, and between my LEGS!! The ones between my legs look a little different, they are the size of quarters, and purple. Im not sure if that skin is just thinner or what but it has a completely different color to them and shape, the other ones on my arms and ankels look like misquito bites like about 30 on left arm, about 10 on the right, under my arms they are patches like between legs. I am using topical cortizone cream from MD, and taking Benadryl, and Im still freaking itching to death, I have found that a ice pack is helping me more than anything with the awful itchiness!!! Also taking Alveno baths. Im game for anything at this point, I do see the MD Monday, until then any good ideas are very welcomed!! PLZ!! Everytime I sleep n wake up I have more bumps! It is giving me great discomfort... Prayers are needed!! Thank u
I am on week 6 and have gone back & forth with a rash on my neck, arms and now on my breasts. What I find helpful and putting on baby oil right after I step out of the shower (while wet) air drying and then using a good baby lotion or coca butter lotion. I did have to use some cortizone cream but it was over the counter and did not require me getting a prescription. I had my first labs on Monday and have not got the results but I am very optimistic about them. I never really took alot of over the counter meds so I take childrens allergy relief (Walmart brand) a spoonful @ night before bed. Hope this helps some...
