Welcome to the forum. I don't think there was a single person here who was not afraid before they started treatment.  You've done the right thing by reaching out for help and information. There are some very knowledgable people here who are more than willing to help you through whatever side effects you may have.  And Idyllic offered great advise... work with your dr. or NP and don't hesitate to ask questions.

I wish you a treatment with minimal side effects that leads to a life free of Hep C.

Hi and Welcome. The side effects can be overwhelming but truly it is how well they are managed. You may not experience anal irritation. These meds hit everyone differently.

★ Dermatologic side effects have included rash (56%) and pruritus (47%).

Since space is limited to how much info can go in one post here are a few threads that might help you prepare and know what to ask your nurse about. Plus others will post and have suggestions.

If others do not address ☆the fat requirement☆ anaemia, or overall body aches (and the sides of Interferon) be sure to ask your nurse.

Be sure to ask who you call when you have questions. Get a phone #.
Best of luck and be sure to keep in touch as you d t have to go through this alone :)
