I have increased heartbeat since the beginning of the treatment. My first checkup after first four weeks the pressure was up (I don't remember numbers) and my heartbeat was 107. Dr. said it's because of incivek.
Over the weeks after that visit the rate dropped, but not by a lot.
I used to wear a heart rate monitor while cycling since its a good indicator of knowing how far to push your limits and how long you can stay there. I noticed a few weeks after beginning trt my heart rate increased at least 10 bpm with the same effort and I was slightly out of breath, where I wouldn't have been prior to trt. I get winded with minor efforts, so adjust accordingly. Discuss with the doc, but this sounds common for those on trt as mentioned above.
I think its very important to seek your doctor on this one. I had rapid heart rate with treatment due to anemia and to be sure all was ok they connected me to an EKG. My heart was fine. It went away about week11. It was very scary.
I have the same symptoms.I asked my dr, last visit of this.He checked me out because I have hypertension. He said this is the drugs doing this. When me heart rate increases,I have to stop what I'm doing and rest and recover.
A fast heartbeat is not related to portal hypertension.
Portal hypertension is high blood pressure (hypertension) in the portal vein and its collateral veins and is normally undetectable except via imaging studies the measure blood flow and pressure and the existence of varies.
I agree with Will, a faster heartbeat during treatment is usually seen as a person becomes anemic and has to exert themselves.
The best source for information is always your own doctor.

My HGB is still in the 12 s.
If you are on treatment and are expeiencing some degree of "hemolytic anemia " from the medication, the heart will often beat faster to compensate for decreased oxygen to the body
This is quite common. What is your HGB.?
