info needed

Hello every one, my name is dessa 54.

I have several questions to ask, first one, has anyone heard of remicade this is a drug that is given with my hep c meds. It is suppose to help cure genotype 1 hepatitist. At times I feel so tired that I cannot get out the bed, is this a normal reaction to the hep treatments.

                                                            Thank you

I am in a hep c study trail  program in cleveland, oh., In the beginning of the program which started oct.1st 2008 I got my first infusion of remicade. Two weeks later I got another infusion now I will take another one in 4wks, then 6wks and 8wks .I also take 5 pills a day name ribavirin along with a peginterferon shot once a week. No I don't have anything else wrong with me. I read somewhere that remicade was for chrons disease.

                                                                    thanks

Here's a link you may want to look at concerning remicade, which lists personal accounts of side effects and various reasons for taking remicade:

Do you have pre-exisiting medical conditions, other than HCV? I've never heard of remicade being prescribed routinely with interferon and ribavirin.

Both remicade and HCV treatment can knock the wind out of your sails, at least in the beginning.
