period... thats topical meds ......
Huh?
Can I buy you a period?
haha I feel you are saying something profound if only I were smart enough to understand.
You know it's weird but during tx my pre-existing psoriasis actually all but went away. Still for the remaining they prescribed Triamcinolone Acetonide 0.5%. Worked pretty good.
I'm telling you's all a pine tree it's a little ruff on the face but the picking of bark does wounders plus you'll have a nice smell now don't use redwood trees it effect the rib meds Dude I know how it feels i did most of my tx kiss trees in my forset
here is the name of the ointment i am on:
it's called "Clobetasol Propionate" ointment USP 0.05%, supplied in Olux 15 g, 30 g, 45 g, and 60 g tubes.
it works real good for me.
I would of rather you lowered the dose of riba for a week or two along with meds for the itching. Even with you stopping for a week it shouldn't interfere with your SVR.
Have you tried a prescription pill called Atarax. If not ask your doctor for it.
Best of luck
" The sooner the better. Next time he says stop treatment over a rash, we'll load you up with studies and research that say that's not a good idea."
I agree, if these dang doctors had to go thru tx i bet they wouldn't want to risk becoming svr. Sometimes i think they believe ix is no big thing............ Best to you hiker.
can it
Hard to say what the impact will be however hope you can get restarted asap. The sooner the better. Next time he says stop treatment over a rash, we'll load you up with studies and research that say that's not a good idea. Hope the steroid cream helps you some. I used steroid cream also and I carried it with me because it would only last so long but at least it was relief for awhile. Keep trying different things. Since you were UND at 12 weeks, that's a good sign - it's not any worse than UND at 12 weeks and could be a whole lot better so here's hoping for you! Good luck with that doc of yours.
Trish
Thanks for the encouragement.Í'm not going to drive myself nuts over this, but I am going to have some words with my doctor tomorrow.tahnks again.
Yes I did miss one shot. But I am determined to start again tomorrow. My shot was on Monday,so now I guess it will be wensday. The rash is the olny real side I was effected by.Other than that I've felt pretty much fine.I'm kind of miffed at my doctor.Hie solution always seems to be to stop treatment. Thanks for your response.
Did you miss your last interferon shot or have you missed ribavirin only so far? What day is your shot day?
greetz hikerdude....(nice NIC)...i am in my 19th week, and had to dose reduce for 2 weeks, due to hemolytic anemia. my doc said the riba is the most important of all the meds after being UD (i was at 12 weeks). he said the riba has a half life and will remain active in your body for a while.
i also itch like a mad man. i am on a Rx ointment. it works really well. i wonder why he didn't just reduce your dose?
good luck and don't sketch over stopping.
Yes the doctor did make me stop.I was in my 22nd week and been off treatment for six days.I have since used sreroid cream with some success.Igo back to the doctor tomorrow and will ask to continue treatment.I was very reluctant to stop, but he would not continue to treat me if I did not follow his advice.I was undt.at week 12,was not tested bbefore that so I can olny hope for the best. Thanks for your repply.
Yes it will...have you tried all the suggested remedies...steroid cream...gold bond...oatmeal bath etc. Did your doc suggest you stop?? What week are you in and how long to you have to go and what are your results?
Will
