Hi, sorry to hear the news. You are not responding to Pegasys, indeed. It happened to me too, by week 16. then my doc switched me to daily infergen. I took daily infergen shots from September 2009 to end of August 2010. Today got my 6 months post-treatment PCR test results. NO VIRUS!
Ask your doc about infergen or about newer drugs. Good luck!

Sorry to hear you aren't responding.  I think the new drugs are out in May.  There is no point in starting treatment with out the Telepravir.  And, if you don't have much liver damage, that is a lot  of stuff coming down the FDA trickle that don't include some of the harsher drugs.  You could also look into clinical trials that treat "pre-treated".

Don't worry.  New stuff to beat this virus is on the way.  Get healthy so you are prepared to get rid of this burden!

Hi there.. Yes unfortunately by the numbers you have posted it is evident you are not responding to this course of tx.
Seeing as you are Geno type 1 in the near future their will betheir will be some new  meds on the market that  trials have shown to have an efficacy rate of approx 70 -75% ,in comparison to the meds you have been taking that have had about a 45-50% success rate. Do you know your stage of liver damage as that will also come into play when deciding future tx.options

Hope that helps some
