What is your day and time for treatment?

From what I understand it is very important to stay on a strict regimen and choose a day for the Peg injection and stay with it.  It was suggested to inject on Friday, so if there were some significant side effects, it would at least give a few days over the weekend to deal with them.

What day has worked best for you?  Do you ever vary by a day?  Do you inject right before bed or early in the evening?  Curious what others currently treating are doing or have done.    Thanks.

I took my shot on Sunday at noon because my Monday's were usually slow (I also arranged for someone to come in a few hours on Mondays to help with my business).

My thought in the beginning was that I would take Saturdays off so I would have a "play day" to go do things I enjoyed doing.

Welcome to the forum and good luck during tx -Rhonda

I did my shots on Friday so that I could have the weekend to "recover" so I could go back to work on Monday.  I took them about 6 p.m. each Friday.

because I am in a trial and the way my first treatment appointments worked out with my work schedule, I had to take my shot on Mondays even though I am off on Sun/Mon - I've been managing for five weeks going to work the next day but I'd rather not so I'm working with my trial coordinator to get shot day shifted (easier said than done with trial protocol).  I am like June and know I have about 4-6 hours with no effects at all and sometimes even have a burst of energy.
Good luck with it and may your side effects be minimal - and the same to all who have a Friday night injection.

I do my shot Friday nights around 8:00 pm. Oh, that reminds me.....

If I feel ill it usually happens about 4 or more hours after the shot. This way the brunt of the sx happen when I'm sleeping, though these past few weeks I've been having sx all throughout the weekend into Monday. Whatever.

You'll find your pace, what works for you.

Best,
June

My sx were so predictable with Peg-Intron I did my shot Friday at lunch because I knew I wouldn't start feeling it till after work (fortuately I never got called in to work any overtime). It gave me a longer 'weekend', and since the worst of it lasted about three days, I only had Monday A.M. to feel cr@ppy at work.
The pegylation with Pegasys is a little different and some people have reported that the peak of their sx come three to four days after their shot.

Most people do their shots on Friday evening, so they have the weekend to deal with sx.
