Help! Humidifier help the dryskin, rash, itching????

I know nothing about humidifiers. Does anyone use them for the itching? Have just heard they may help with the riba itching & winter dry skin.

Itching is driving me crazy.  I go through 2 oz tubes of cortaid every 2-3 days which seems alot to me.  I am keeping the heat down & bundling up in jackets & blankets when I get cold.  No more hot showers & cool feels pretty good.  Still the itch is constant.  Also, itching ear is now infected again.  I have used mineral oil for the itching ear & take tylenol for the ****ing pain.  Will call Doc tomorrow.
RAsh is on calves, upper back & is starting at outside corner of left

Now all the b******g is done, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE AND MAY WE ALL GET WELL!!!!!

Thanks for the Eucerin tip.  Itching is so much better and the eucerin doesn't sting!  Love it.  I have tried every kind of lotion i could find, sheas butter, cocoa butter the Eucerin is the best.  I do put gold bond on top of the Eucerin on the scabby areas.  I am sitting in my jacket in a relatively cool room and all is well with the world!

I use the Eucerin lotion as well.  They have a whole  line of products.  I find that the Calming Cream works best for me.  I usually only have to apply it once a day and I do that at bedtime.

P.S.  Yeppers, if I don't use it I spend half the night playing itchy-scratchy

Try Eucerin for dry skin in the moisturizer section at you local drug store its REALLY works.
Also Gold Bond cream with the red cap works as well and you dont have to apply it as often.
My ears are so dry also I cant even put my head on the pillow.
