So you are the Ana from the 07 txers! Thought it was my fellow Texan. Kind of a mixed blessing if you qualify for the trial this summer, right?
Let me know, take care,
Bug
Yes I am the original - I couldn't log back on so I re-registered. I only treated for 5 weeks in 2007 because the stupid doctor I had messed up on my labs and my blood count dropped to around 8. I had to switch doctors and they all agreed I should stop. I have a great doctor now, but I am waiting around for better drugs. I am going to try a trial this summer regarding medication that lowers liver inflammation. Will learn more about it later and have to see if I qualify, but free testing, biopsies and all that. If I don't qualify it means my liver is not inflamed. If I qualify, means my liver is inflamed.
Were you originally anafromtexas? Did you treat and not clear or have not treated?
Sorry I'm asking so many questions, your name minus the 2 is someone who posted in the past.
meant to say "one-log" and not "one-long"
Goes up and down on it's own. Also, the drop you mention is much less than one-long and therefore could be accounted for by testing variance alone. That said, you fall into the "low" viral load category, meaning that if you did decide to treat with such a low viral load then your chances of SVR (being cured) are much better than if you had a high viral load plus if you have an RVR you may be able to get away with a shorter course of treatment. So, if you're thinking of treating, now might be the right time to do it, unless you don't have significant liver damage and decided to wait for better drugs.

I think it just goes up and down on its own. The virus is in a long lasting battle with your immune system. Once one side is on the advantage, then the other side. But there's no clear winner, except perhaps that the virus manages often to resist long enough to use the liver as it's breeding grounds and your body as a vehikel to infect other people.
Which doesn't mean that taking good care of your body (and mind!) doesn't help.
