lumps bumps numb

i have  been injecting my peg-intron shots in my stomach now the area feels wierd i feel lumps under the skin it feels strange to the touch like nerve damage i have a friend who is diabetic she say it is scare tissue and i should try another spot like my leg she was not even recieving her meds because of it has anyone else experienced this problem?

Yes! All this should eventually subside; but it might take 4-6 months after you finish the meds. I got lumps under the skin too. I also injected all my IFN into either the abdomen or the thighs, depending on which therapy session. The last time, it all went into my thighs; the hair fell out, and the area got numb. Also, the subcutaneous layer of fat disappeared in the numb area, leaving a depression in the skin about tow or three inches in diameter.

Everything eventually resolved; the most disturbing thing for me was the nerve damage/numbness, but it straightened out eventually.

i might suggest that you alternate where you give yourself your shots.

Hi Stallion-
I believe your friend is correct. It is probably scar tissue. Have you been injecting in the same spot? If you have you should be changing even if it is different spots on your stomach or thighs. You want to inject into the fat I believe not the muscle so be aware of that when injecting into parts of your leg that may be more muscle than fat.
