SVR 6 months post tx - Geno type 1

Hey everyone - It's been a long time since I've posted.  I participated on a 48 wk trial and finished last October.  Just got my test results, and I am undectable at 6 months post tx...
Amazing, after 20 yesrs!!!!!!
Still have some side-effects, mostly fatigue.
I was approx 4 mil, Geno type 1 for approx 20 years.
I was very sceptical about this working, but it has!!!
My sides were pretty bad, but I did stick it out
So, don't give up!!!!!
Carol

Congratulations to you both!!! SVR must seem like the impossible dream come true. The end of treatment itself must be wonderful. Good luck to you both!!!

thanks everyone for the great feedback.. it really means a lot!!
yes - I can still hardly believe it.....
Goldyn, I was 1a, as far as the Riba, this was a trial, so I don't know if I was taking Riba or the new pro-drug Viramidine.
I also don't know if I was clear at 12 wks, but I was a responder at 24 wks.  The study is still blinded so I won't know for a few more months.
The sides were different at various points of treatment.  I think the second 24 wks went a little bit better, because I knew I was responder, and I had developed my routine and tried to adjust to the sides...
If I had to do it over, I would have enlisted more support..  I didn't want to tell a lot of people, and thought I could tough it out, but in effect I isolated myself, which contributed to my depression..  If you can reach out to positive people for support, it will help.
