mono with hepititis from the mono (not a, b, or c)

My doctor says I have mono with a high liver count which includes hepititis. Not the Hepititis (A,B...) just plain hepititis that can come with the mono. My throat pain is getting a drop better, I am nauseous (from the hepititis - the doctor said) and I feel weak and tired and have trouble sleeping. Did anyone hear of this combination mono with hepititis? I never did but my doctor said it's normal. Please clue me in.

Complications of Mononucleosis: Hepatitis
One of the complications of infectious mononucleosis is hepatitis. However, this mono complication does not always result from mononucleosis. While hepatitis linked to mono is generally mild, it can pose health risks and in some cases can be quite serious. But what exactly is hepatitis and how is this disease related to mononucleosis?

If he didn't give you a blood test to check for hep -get one. Maybe it is from the mono, but I would want to be tested for hep A, B and C also. If he did test you and it turned out okay, then I guess he's right.

Well...since hepatitis means inflamation of the liver....i gess mono can cause this. I would be celebrating if I were you. This is a temporary situation. Do as your doc instructed, get some needed sleep and try to eat healthy and you should be good to go.
All the best!
