This is a tough question and there's just no simple answer.

You can't predict how you'll react but you can be pretty confident that one way or another, you can slug your way through it.

The real question you have to ask yourself is whether now's the time in your life to tackle this. It may be but you also may want to wait, depending on your test results and situation.

If you want to learn more, you can read up about HCV here:

If you've done the relevant tests, you can then make a sound decision and weigh whether you should treat now, with an infant at home, or wait for now and enjoy the baby in the meantime.

If you can put yourself in the hands of a hepatologist (liver specialist), that would be a huge help to you every step of the way.

There are much better med combos that will be available next year, depending on your genotype, and this may be the better option for you, depending on your profile.
