my mother in law

My mother in law has pain in her arms and legs, she said it is in the bone, and she has had purpleish square shaped scratches or bruises come up on her legs from the knee down. Anything will be a big help, thanks so much.

Hi,
If she is taking hormone replacement therapy it could be that. It happened to my mom.
Good Luck!

Does your mother-in-law have Hep C? Sometimes a disease called cryoglobulinemia can cause these purple blotches on the lower extremities; as well as pain. She can request a blood test to see if this might be to blame. This condition is often associated with HCV, by the way.

Best of luck to you both,

Bill
